Logan was an owner surrender who was turned into the Lycoming County SPCA because his owners said he was uncontrollable and untrainable. He was also an outside dog. He did very well for us in training and even learned many serice dog tasks. Logan was not always comfortable with many public access areas and at times became nervous so he was placed as a home companion where he is appreciated and loved.
Lazer was received by the Lycoming County SPCA as a stray. He was between 6 and 9 months old at the time. He was probably kept in a crate his entire life up to this point since his paws were still very tender. Walking outside caused him to have sore feet! Lazer also did very well in training, but is too reactive for public work. He now lives with his trainer and is a big help to her at home.
Luke was removed from his owners by the Lycoming County SPCA in an abuse case along with 39 other dogs. He was selected by Eagles' Wings for training. During his physical exam which all of our dogs receive it was discovered that Luke has elbow dysplasia. Luke has been placed with a wonderful family who loves and appreciates his gentle nature.
Jacobi at 4 months while still at the Lycoming County SPCA. Jacobi was part of a cruelty case which included 36 other dogs. His litter mate died and Jacobi almost did too. Jacobi has now grown up and he has become a sweet, responsive, and very loving young dog. His personality is not suited for the demands of a working service dog and it would not have been fair to ask that of him. Jacobi has been placed in a companion home where he is having the time of his life with plenty of love and attention!
Shiloh was removed from the Lycoming County SPCA on Oct. 11, 2007. He was approximately 9 months of age. He passed all of his health clearances. Shiloh is a very laid back boy and has been placed as a home companion. Hopefully Shiloh will be used as a Therapy Dog in the future. His new family is madly in love with him. Not bad for an unwanted dog!
