Dear Friends:

Thank you for visiting our web site to learn more about Eagles' Wings Service Dogs (EWSD). We hope you find this site educational and entertaining.

Eagles' Wings Service Dogs mission is to increase the independence and improve the quality of life for individuals with various physical limitations by providing homeless animals of the Lycoming County S.P.C.A. who are trained for service.

Our support services ensure that our teams perform in a manner that promotes the welfare of the recipient, dog, and public. Our goal is to establish a lifetime bond between the recipient and the dog.

Our efforts will be focused on, but not limited to, an area within a 200-mile radius of Williamsport,  Pennsylvania.

We at this time are only training dogs to assist with mobility and balance work and therapy dogs who go into the nursing homes and schools.  We at times have home companion dogs available.  These dogs have had extensive training and in fact they have most of the skills needed for service work but for various different reasons must be placed in private homes without public access rights.

We are a small organization.  Our dogs are brought from the shelter into the trainer's home where they reside for approximately 12 months to 18 months.  Each dog that leaves us takes a little bit of our heart with them as you can see by reading some of their stories.

The follow-up services provided by EWSD is extensive. Every effort is made to support and monitor the health, success and welfare of the human-canine teams.
